“I heard Lorraine speak about her background, experiences and journey, she went on to explain the amazing work she does in the local counties to support people in hospital with cancer. I was so inspired by her that as soon as there was an opportunity for me to have her speak to my colleagues at Securitas. She came to our offices and inspired everyone in the room. Lorraine is an amazing human, an excellent authentic speaker.”

Sarah Hayes, HR Director at Securitas UK

"Lorraine Lewis is a #RealLifeRoleModel.

In the sixth form I lead at Northampton School for Girls, we encourage our students to aspire to live as role models and we invited Lorraine in to lead an assembly after our senior choir supported her and her incredible charity, The Lewis Foundation, with their 2023 charity single. Lorraine’s assembly covered her inspiring life story, from her time as a child in Northampton who broke down barriers to qualify as a barrister before founding a hugely successful and impactful charity which supports adult cancer patients in hospitals across the Midlands.

Lorraine’s story of determination, resilience, ambition, compassion and love is utterly inspiring, whether told in person or in her brilliant book ‘Dare to Dream’. The book is heartwarming and heartbreaking in equal measure - so compelling that I read it in one sitting! Full of detailed anecdotes from throughout her life, it made me smile, chuckle and cry in several places.

I’m delighted to have begun a connection with Lorraine and with The Lewis Foundation, and I know that Northampton School for Girls will help in supporting the charity in any way we can going forwards."
